My research interests: metamaterials, plasmonics, graphene photonics
- Metamaterials (negative index, hyperbolic, all-dielectric and other) and their applications.
- Plasmonic antennas and waveguides.
- Graphene photonic devices (infrared and terahertz range).

Jul 2016. Our paper "Experimental demonstration of water based tunable metasurface" was published in Applied Physics Letters. We demonstrated experimentally a metasurface consisting of meta-atoms partially filled with water and tunable by rotation.

May 2016. Our paper "Homogenization of metasurfaces formed by random resonant particles in periodical lattices" was published in Physical Review B. We suggested a simple analytical method of predicting diffuse scattering in 2D regular metamaterials made of random particles.
Nanotechnology highlighted our work

Dec 2015. Our work on effective medium approximation breakdown in subwavelength dielectric multilayers was selected by the Nanotechnology journal as on of the most exciting developments in nanophotonics in 2015.

Nov 2015. Our paper “Boosting Local Field Enhancement by on-Chip Nanofocusing and Impedance-Matched Plasmonic Antennas” was publisehd in Nanoletters. We demonstrated experimentally plasmonic waveguide mode focusing and field enhancement with a help of a nanoantenna.

WOct 2015. Our paper "Experimental Demonstration of Effective Medium Approximation Breakdown in Deeply Subwavelength All-Dielectric Multilayers" was published in Physical Review Letters. We confirmed experimentally the recently predicted counter-intuitive effective medium approximation breakdown in subwavelength dielectric multilayer metamaterials.

Oct 2015. Our paper “Photonic and Plasmonic Guided Modes in Graphene− Silicon Photonic Crystals” was published in ACS Photonics. We considered a continuous graphene layer of top of Si photonic crystal membrane.

Aug 2015. Our paper “Water: Promising Opportunities For Tunable All-dielectric Electromagnetic Metamaterials” was published in Scientific Reports. we demonstrated promising potential of water as a building material for cheap, ecological and tunable all-dielectric metamaterials in microwave range.

Jul 2013. I took part in the 44th International Physics Olympiad (Denmark) from the organizers' side (opposite to the 33rd IPhO, where I was a competitor).
